Episode 50: Are You Stuck in "Preparation Mode"? 3 Reasons to Let Go of Preparation and Take Action
Have you ever been stuck in "preparation mode", while you're trying to start something new or accomplish a goal? I think most of us have experienced this at some point, but in case you haven't, here's what it looks like- watching all the videos, reading all the content, planning all the steps, researching the different approaches.... but NOT taking any action. You're stuck in preparation.
The real problem, is that we convince ourselves that we're "working on it", by being immersed in preparation, but we're not moving forward. And time is passing, while you stay in the same place.
However, the other possibility is that you could be soaking up all the information AND also, getting into action. This is where the real progress begins, by taking a small step despite how "prepared", or not, you feel.
In this episode, we discuss 3 specific reasons to let go of preparation and get into action, starting today.
Because let's face it, if you're going to do the thing, you've got to DO the thing-
If you want to be a runner--- you’ve got to RUN
If you want to be writer--- you’ve got to WRITE
If you want to be healthy eater--- you’ve got to EAT healthy foods
So the bottom line is, you've got to "walk the talk" and as long as you’re putting off the DOING, the action, you’ll be spinning your wheels in preparation mode.
